Gavitt
The Gavitt monument was produced from blue Westerly granite by the Smith Granite Company in 1900 for Captain Sylvester Gavitt for a contract price of $800. The Smith Granite Company was the only shed in Westerly with a lathe large enough to turn the round pedestal.
