A more recent building constructed of Westerly Granite is the Saint Pius X Church at 45 Elm Street. It was built from a several varieties of Westerly granite which was donated to the church by Angelo Gencarelli. The trim around the windows is made from limestone. |

The granite wall was built when the Hoxie estate occupied this location. It is made of red granite quarried from the Murray quarry in Pawcatuck, CT. New gates were cut to complement the existing wall when the church was built on this site. |
